What You Can Expect
Every situation is different. But these things tend to happen regardless of who we're working with.
Not put on hold. Not swept under the rug. Actually resolved — with a written agreement and something in place to make sure it holds.
More than 85% of our cases resolve without going to court. No public record. No legal fees piling up. You keep control of the outcome.
Mediation isn't about winning. It's about finding something that actually works — especially when these people still have to be in the same room next week.
Most cases wrap up in 1–3 sessions. A court case takes 12–18 months. That's not just money — that's a year of your life.
We don't just deal with what's in front of us. We figure out what's actually causing it — and tell you what to do about that too.
Every engagement ends with a set of recommendations. Most clients walk away with tools they're still using a year later.
Flagship Offering
A 5-week diagnostic that goes into your organization and figures out why conflict keeps happening. Not just what happened last time — what's producing it. You get a written action plan at the end. If you're tired of putting out the same fires, this is where to start.
Investment
Federal agencies may qualify for GSA schedule pricing.
Practice Area 01
Workplace ADR
Institutional Conflict Resolution
"Stop a workplace dispute before it turns into a lawsuit."
If something is already broken — an EEO complaint, a team that can't function, a conflict systems initiative that went sideways — this is where we come in. We don't just help people shake hands and move on. We figure out what actually caused the problem and deal with that, through mediation, facilitated workshops, and workplace investigations.
How We Do It Differently
Most mediators show up and facilitate a conversation. We do a pre-session assessment first — we read the complaint, review the documentation, and understand the power dynamics before anyone sits down at the table. That means we're not learning the situation in the room. We already know it.

Federal Advisory
Government & Contractor Support
"Keep small problems from becoming expensive ones in federal environments."
Federal environments have their own culture, their own chain of command, and their own way of handling — or not handling — conflict. We know that world from the inside. We work with agencies and contractors on the front end: training supervisors, auditing conflict patterns, and building the kind of pre-litigation pathways that keep small problems from becoming expensive ones.
How We Do It Differently
We don't just train supervisors on conflict theory and leave. We audit the system first — the grievance process, the communication channels, the informal escalation patterns — and then we build training around what's actually broken. Federal agencies get a deliverable they can put in a file, not a workshop they'll forget in two weeks.

Leadership Development
Executive & Organizational Coaching
"Develop leaders who don't fall apart when the conversation gets hard."
A lot of leaders are technically good at their jobs but struggle when the conversation gets hard. When trust breaks down. When they have to confront someone with authority over them. When they've caused harm and don't know how to repair it. That's what we work on — one-on-one coaching and team programs built around the specific leadership challenges that actually derail careers.
How We Do It Differently
Leadership coaching that ignores conflict is incomplete. We work specifically on the hard conversations — the ones leaders avoid, mishandle, or escalate unnecessarily. Every engagement is built around the BRIDGE Method™, which means leaders leave with a repeatable framework, not just better instincts.

Community Practice
Restorative & Youth Mediation
"Conflict resolution shouldn't only be for organizations that can afford a retainer."
This work started because conflict resolution shouldn't be a luxury. We partner with courts, schools, and probation offices to provide mediation and restorative dialogue for people who actually need it — including court-referred youth who deserve a real shot at accountability without a record that follows them forever.
How We Do It Differently
We charge on a sliding scale for court-referred and community work because we believe access to a fair process shouldn't depend on what you can afford. We also train community members to mediate — so the capacity stays in the community after we're gone.

Personal & Family Mediation
Individuals, Families & Personal Disputes
"Some of the hardest disputes are personal. We help with those too."
Not every conflict happens at work. Some of the hardest ones are personal — family disagreements, co-parenting after a divorce, a neighbor dispute that's been going on for two years, an estate that's tearing siblings apart. People carry these the longest because they don't know where to take them. We give individuals and families a private process to work through it — without going to court, without a public record, and without burning down relationships that still matter.
How We Do It Differently
Personal disputes are handled with the same rigor as institutional ones — pre-session intake, a structured process, and a documented agreement at the end. The difference is the tone. We know these conversations are personal. We hold that.

Our Process
Step 01
Thirty minutes, no charge. You tell me what's going on. I ask a few questions. By the end you'll know whether we're a good fit — and if we are, what working together would actually look like.
Step 02
After the call, I put together a written proposal — clear scope, fixed fee, timeline. No vague retainers. No hourly billing that balloons on you. You know exactly what you're getting before you commit to anything.
Step 03
We do the work. I come in with a pre-session assessment — I'm not walking in blind. The facilitation follows the BRIDGE Method™. Everything that gets agreed to is documented.
Step 04
After we're done, I don't disappear. I follow up to make sure things are holding. And I give you recommendations for the structural changes that would keep this from coming back.

About Your Mediator
U.S. Army veteran. Ph.D. candidate in Conflict Analysis & Resolution. Founder of Bridge & Gavel ADR LLC™. Every engagement is grounded in peer-reviewed research, not gut instinct.
Read Full BioThe Ecosystem
The BRIDGE Method™ isn't just a process for a single session. It's a framework that works whether you're resolving one dispute or trying to change how your entire organization handles conflict.
"Cross the BRIDGE"
The six-stage method is the foundation. Every product, service, and publication traces back to it. Works in workplace disputes, community conflicts, organizational change, and interpersonal crises.
BRIDGE Assessment™
A pre-engagement intake instrument that measures where the conflict currently sits and which stage needs the most attention. Clients receive a one-page BRIDGE Profile Report before the first session.
Practitioner Certification™
A tiered credential system: Foundations (half-day), Practitioner (3-day intensive), Master Facilitator (advanced cohort), and Organizational Certification (enterprise license).
"Cross the BRIDGE"
Six parts, one per stage, each with a case study, research grounding, and practitioner tools. The academic version becomes the theoretical contribution of the doctoral dissertation.
Service Lines
Workplace Mediation, Team Facilitation, Organizational Assessment, Leadership Intensive, and Federal Practice — each anchored to the BRIDGE framework.
"The BRIDGE Arc"
Six stages represented as the six structural components of a suspension bridge — each one necessary, each one holding weight. When one stage is weak, the whole structure is at risk.
Training & Certification
From a half-day introduction to an enterprise-wide organizational license — there's a BRIDGE certification tier for every team and budget.
Half-day workshop
Conflict literacy for any professional. No prerequisites required.
$1,500
3-day intensive
Full method training with role play and assessment. Credential awarded upon completion.
$1,500
Advanced cohort
Licensed to teach Foundations in their own organizations. Requires Practitioner credential.
$3,500
Enterprise license
Entire team or department trained and certified. Includes train-the-trainer materials.

Sector-Specific Value
Your agency doesn't have a conflict problem — it has a systems problem. We bring EEOC-compliant mediation, doctoral-level conflict analysis, and military leadership experience to agencies that need more than a mediator. We treat the root, not the symptom.
Federal ServicesTeacher turnover costs SC districts $8,000–$21,000 per vacancy. Most of it is preventable. We help principals and HR directors resolve the interpersonal conflicts that drive good teachers out the door — before they become formal grievances.
